Bio: Mike Reiter attended the Missouri Institute of Technology, graduating with an Engineering Degree in Electronics. The first leg of his cross-country career path began in 1979, when he went to work for Microform Data Systems in Mountain View, CA. Mike’s journey next led him to work as a Systems Engineer at a Southwestern Bell Call Center in Wichita, KS, where he stayed for four years. The Burroughs Corporation, and his position as Systems Engineer, brought him back to St. Louis. In 1985, Mike bought his first Real Estate investment, 5300 N. Broadway in St. Louis. He opened “On Broadway Bistro & Car Wash Co.,” an eating and drinking establishment, which he ran until 1995, when he sold the business. In 1997, Mike opened Reiter & Associates, LLC, a contracting company. He started purchasing investment properties and renovating them to hold and rent out, or sell. He renovates Historic Buildings in downtown St. Louis, Missouri and many dwellings in the Benton Park Neighborhood. Mike is the Managing Partner of Cottleville Ventures, LLC, a Real Estate Management and Development Firm, which specializes in Residential and Commercial Property. After 25 years of buying, selling, developing, managing and leasing real estate for his own interest, Mike recently earned his Real Estate License. He will be sharing his many years of Real Estate experience working under Keller Williams Realty West. Being of strong values and high moral standards, church and family are extremely important to Mike. He and his wife Sue have been married for 24 years, and have two children; Michael, age 22, will graduate from college this year and Katie, age 20, who is in her junior year of college. The Reiter family has been members of St. Joseph’s Church in Cottleville since 1995. Mike has a real passion for his community and helping others succeed. This is evident in the variety of activities that he lends his time and energy to. He currently sits on the Board for Reliance Bank in St. Peters, Smith-Moore Investments in Clayton, and Cottleville Firefighters Community Outreach. Mike serves as the President of the Cottleville Fire Protection District Board, Vice President of the Cottleville Community Improvement District, and Chairman of the Cottleville St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Mike has been a member of the Cottleville Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce since 2005. In 2006, he became a member of the Board, and will serve as President from July of 2010 to January of 2012. With all that he is involved in, it’s difficult to imagine that Mike has any free time. When he has the chance, Mike enjoys cycling, playing golf, fishing and hunting.
